This is how to make a wax cottonball firestarter, it works about like a cottonball soaked in petroleum jelly but is easier to store and handle.

This is very simple just lite a tea light candle and wait until all of the wax is melted. Then remove the wick and drop cottonballs into the wax until the wax is all soaked up. The cottonballs should be completely coated with wax. Let the wax cottonballs cool and dry then they are ready. To use simply crush the edge of one of the wax cottonballs and fluff it up then lite with a firesteel or with a match.
