Make a Cooking Grille

From WildernessWiki.org

Jump to: navigation, search

Constructing a grille for cooking in the wild is very easy and fast. All that is needed is a flexible, woody plant such as willow and a short length of cord. Take one branch and form a loop; attach one end to itself either with a cord or by cutting interlocking notches into the branch. Weave other branches through the loop with some vertical and some horizontal, so that they tension against each other. The grille can now be used to cook fish or meat over a fire or bed of coals.
