Which is correct? "The water should be kept at a rolling boil for at least a minute to be considered safe to drink." or "The water need only reach boiling point to be considered safe to drink." -Matt (Talk) 17:22, 11 June 2008 (EDT)

Neither. The water will be safe 99.999999% of the time after coming to a full boil, but because some bugs can form a protective cyst, 10 or more minutes is necessary to perfectly declare water safe. Funditor 23:21, 12 June 2008 (EDT)
